Dubai - Biggest, Tallest and Costliest

To describe your experiences and express your feelings about Dubai with one or two pages is quite difficult. It is one of the most extraordinary and unique cities in the world with very special features you probably won’t be able to see from other places.

The list of the biggest, tallest, costliest and most expensive constructions has probably the greatest amount here. And in fact, Dubai has the most astonishing architecture with those famous skylines and those incomparable buildings. It is also well-known for its stunning beaches, luxury shopping opportunities and lively nightlife.

Maybe Dubai is the opposite of most of the cities in Europe like Vienna, Rome, Amsterdam and many others but worth traveling if you are looking for a different experience. The number of places you will visit has no limits and Dubai will fascinate you with its ostentatious as well as incomparable appearance. Don’t forget that the whole city is built on sand! Dubai is an artificial city in the middle of the Arabian desert!

Highlights in Dubai

  • Due to the hot weather (hot doesn’t mean the hot weather we are used to in Europe; felt temperature of 50 to 60 degrees Celsius in summer months in Dubai) the bus stops are air-conditioned. Great invention that saves you from the intolerable heat while waiting for the bus!
  • Burj Al Arab - considered as the number one among the seven-star hotels in the world that is located near the Jumeirah Beach. It is called the most luxurious hotel in the world with for example an underwater aquarium restaurant.

  • The tallest building in the world - Burj Khalifa! With unbelievable 828 meters and 163 floors the top of the Burj Khalifa is sometimes even covered by the clouds. You can visit the floors 124 and 148, which is without no exaggerating an amazing experience! Dubai under your feet with an amazing overall view!
  • The Dubai Mall. Unsurprisingly it is the largest mall of the world with 502,000 square meters so that they even offer a taxi service inside the mall! Walking through the complete mall is almost impossible... The Mall is well-known as the first choice for those looking for luxury shopping and famous exclusive brands. In total, you can find there 1200 shops for your shopping experience.
  • Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest fountain system on the Burj Khalifa lake that offers visitors magnificent visual shows. You can watch these choreographies every half an hour from 6 pm to 11 pm. I have watched a number of these shows and I was following them without even blinking my eyes!
  • Did you ever hear about Dubai Police Force and their cars? I recommend you to have a look on the Internet :)

  • Do not leave Dubai without experiencing a 4x4 Desert Safari. An unforgettable Safari tour in the middle of an endless desert, opportunity to watch the sunset and having delicious Arabic dinner in a Bedouin tent.

  • Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi is another place you have to visit when you travel to Dubai. A one-day-trip will be enough to visit the must-sees in Abu Dhabi. The mosque is the largest in the country and the third largest in the world. If you want to enter the mosque, you have to follow the strict rules that you can find on the internet. Otherwise, you won’t be able to enter the mosque, which would be a real pity. You will see that a lot of work and effort is put into this mosque that fascinates with its appearance and stunning details.

  • We planned two days of our holiday for the beach. Therefore we have chosen the famous Jumeirah Beach with its beautiful patterns, warm light blue water and its gorgeous view to Burj Al Arab. Unfortunately, we were only able to endure the heat for 3 hours from 9 to 12 am (in September).
